Hereford cattle championships concluded at Expo Prado

The Hereford cattle evaluations at Expo Prado concluded with high-quality specimens across both Polled and horned categories. Brazilian judge Jacques Leston noted the high level of uniformity and functionality among the animals presented.

In the Polled Hereford category, the Grand Champion, Supreme Champion, and Two-Year-Old Champion titles were awarded to El Paraíso (Bordaberry) and G. Rodrigues De Freitas. The bull was praised for its length, meat capacity, structure, and reproductive aptitude. Luis Ignacio Bordaberry emphasized that the award reflects a long-term selection project designed for commercial farming systems.

In the horned Hereford category, the Grand Champion title went to La Elisa, owned by Walter Carlos Romay Elorza. The winning bull is part of a consistent genetic line originating from the United States, which can be utilized for both horned and polled Hereford breeding programs and crossbreeding systems.
