Herlev begins construction on new playground and green space

Construction has begun on a new playground and green urban space located near the Herlev Library in Denmark. Although the project experienced delays from its original September start date, work is now underway with containers and parking restrictions in place.

The project is expected to be completed by January 31, 2027. The design features four bird-themed play towers with soft landing surfaces, three wooden bird sculptures inspired by children's drawings, and new lighting. The development also includes new gravel paths and a plan to restrict vehicle access to certain areas around the library to improve the urban environment.
