Hermann Neubauer wins Austrian Rally Championship title

Hermann Neubauer has secured his third Austrian Rally Championship title following a dramatic season finale at the 1000 Hügel Rallye in Krumbach. The TEC7 Rallye-Staatsmeisterschaft title race remained undecided until the final stages of the event.

Heading into the final special stages, Simon Wagner held the lead. However, the championship took a decisive turn during the Haßbach–Grimmenstein stage when Wagner slid off the track into a ditch on a split-split surface, resulting in an early exit for the five-time champion.

Neubauer, driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, maintained a steady pace to secure the victory, marking his third season win alongside previous victories in Judenburg and Weiz. His closest remaining competitor, Michael Lengauer, also suffered a late setback when a broken rim caused him to lose control and crash into a guardrail during the final special stage, preventing him from scoring points.
