Hermosillo begins construction of first Municipal Neurodevelopment Center
Authorities in Hermosillo, Sonora, have launched the construction of the city’s first Municipal Neurodevelopment Center. The project aims to strengthen support for children and families by providing specialized care and guidance.
The 615-square-meter facility will include 10 new areas dedicated to therapies and medical attention. The initiative is expected to reduce diagnostic waiting times by up to 50% and double the current capacity for therapies. The total investment exceeds 3 million pesos, funded by contributions from CMIC Sonora (2 million pesos), the local government (700,000 pesos), and DIF Hermosillo (600,000 pesos).
