Hermosillo Fire Department targets 6-minute response time

The Hermosillo Fire Department is working to reduce its emergency response time to a maximum of 6 minutes. Director Juan Francisco Matty Ortega stated that the strategy involves constructing new stations and acquiring new equipment to better serve the urban center and expanding areas such as La Victoria, San Pedro, and El Taza.

Matty Ortega noted that response times previously averaged 12 minutes. To meet current citizen demands, the department requires a new fleet of 10 fire units, including a specific need to replace water tankers.
