Hermosillo government manages flooding and health services in Bahía de Kino

The Hermosillo government has launched an operation to restore mobility and cleanliness in Bahía de Kino following heavy rainfall on Saturday morning. Authorities have focused on draining and cleaning major avenues, including Soto de la Marina, Mar de Cortés, and Final Norte, to improve traffic flow. Playa Azul avenue is now passable from Mar de Cortés to Abulón.

Municipal Public Health services are providing medical attention in the area. Ten people are currently sheltered at the Fermín Trujillo Fuentes secondary school, with two having already received medical care. Health officials are conducting epidemiological surveys and coordinating with state authorities to assess risks and prevent diseases associated with flooding once water levels recede.

Additional support includes the distribution of food, cleaning supplies, sheets, and corrugated metal to affected families. Various municipal agencies, including firefighters, civil protection, and public services, are participating in the recovery efforts alongside coordination with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).
