Hermosillo hosts PercheFest culinary festival

The third edition of PercheFest was held in Hermosillo, Sonora, featuring 30 local businesses and food carts specializing in 'burros percherones'. During the event, students and faculty from the Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) set a local record by preparing a 15-meter-long burro percherón.

Mayor Antonio Astiazarán Gutiérrez presided over the awards ceremony. In the 'Best Perche of the H' category, Il Bambino took first place, followed by Burro del Desierto and El Rincón del Perche. In the 'Creative Perche' category, Burros de la 7 won first place, followed by Percherones PP and Tumba Burros Percherones.

Additionally, the municipal president celebrated the first anniversary of radio station La H (89.3 FM) and announced that singer Yahir will be honored as a 'Distinguished Hermosillense' at Parque Madero this coming Sunday.
