Hermosillo inaugurates first Municipal Music School

The first stage of the Hermosillo Municipal Music School has been inaugurated in Sonora, Mexico. The project, promoted through the CRECES Budget program, involved an investment of over 3.5 million pesos.

The new facility in the Altares neighborhood includes a 202.5-square-meter rehearsal hall, metal structures, lighting, and perimeter fencing. The space is designed to provide a dedicated environment for the 89 students of the DIF Hermosillo Children and Youth Orchestra, who previously practiced outdoors.

Mayor Antonio Astiazarán Gutiérrez and DIF Hermosillo President Patty Ruibal Zaragoza led the delivery of the project, which aims to support musical training across ten different disciplines.
