Hermosillo launches free nutrition clinics and tax‑discount festival

The Hermosillo municipal government, led by Mayor Antonio Astiazarán, is offering free nutrition consultations through July 10 as part of the "La H En Movimiento" program. Professional staff will provide anthropometric assessments, nutritional diagnoses and personalized diet and exercise plans at three public sites—Parque Sonacer, “El Kilómetro” near the Centro Ecológico de Sonora, and the Unidad Deportiva Pueblitos—from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday.

On July 12, the city will host the "Tesofest" in San Pedro el Saucito, a family‑oriented event that includes music, food stalls, sports activities and a children’s entertainment area. Attendees can receive discounts on property tax, traffic fines and water service fees. The festival is promoted as a way to encourage timely tax payments and fund public works without increasing municipal debt.
