Hermosillo officials deliver renovated community facilities in Miguel Alemán

Municipal authorities in Hermosillo, Sonora, have officially inaugurated the renovated Basic Rehabilitation Unit (UBR) and the Subprocuraduría for the Protection of the Rights of Children, Adolescents, and Older Adults in the Miguel Alemán settlement.

The renovation of the UBR involved an investment of 1.11 million pesos in partnership with the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC). Improvements included the construction of bathrooms, the installation of an electric door, furniture renewal, roof waterproofing, and the creation of a training room. The facility currently serves an average of 30 patients per week, providing 60 physical therapy sessions.

The Subprocuraduría works included the adaptation of a new children's area. This office, which has operated with permanent staff since 2024, manages 1,659 complaints and provides legal and psychological services to an average of 25 people daily. Local residents noted that the proximity of these services eliminates the need for frequent travel to the Hermosillo municipal center.
