Hermosillo road infrastructure reduces traffic accidents
The Hermosillo Municipal Government has reported a significant decrease in traffic accidents following the implementation of new road infrastructure projects.
The most notable reduction occurred at the Solidaridad and Luis Donaldo Colosio boulevard underpass, which saw an 85.7 percent drop in incidents compared to the period prior to its January 2026 inauguration.
Additionally, three newly installed road arches have contributed to improved safety. Accidents decreased by 55.6 percent at the García Morales boulevard arch, 40 percent at the Mazón López boulevard arch, and 66.66 percent at the Manuel J. Clouthier boulevard arch.
