Hermosillo Sports Fund Supports Over 3,000 Athletes with $4 Million Investment

The Fondo Deportivo of the Instituto del Deporte de Hermosillo, overseen by municipal president Antonio Astiazarán Gutiérrez, has granted more than 599 financial grants totaling over 4 million 33 thousand pesos. The support benefits more than 3,000 local athletes across a range of sports, enabling participation in national and international competitions in countries such as the United States, Brazil, El Salvador, the Czech Republic, Canada, Spain and Costa Rica.

The administration says the program will continue to provide backing for preparation and competition, aiming to strengthen Hermosillo’s athletic talent and increase representation on larger stages.
