Despite previously considering stepping away from the national side after Ecuador's elimination by Mexico in the World Cup, Galíndez has expressed his availability to coach Marcelo Gallardo.

Galíndez played a pivotal role in Huracán's 2-1 victory over River Plate, making a crucial save on a free kick by Ángel Correa to preserve the lead. The win featured goals from Óscar Cortés and Lucas Blondel.
