Hero Esports to launch humanoid robot kickboxing in Riyadh

Hero Esports has announced the launch of CyberHero, a global robotic sports initiative. The program is set to make its live debut in Riyadh on September 9, 2026, featuring the Middle East’s first humanoid robot kickboxing event.

The showcase will feature ten EngineAI T800 humanoid robots, developed by the Shenzhen-based company EngineAI. These robots stand approximately 1.73 meters tall and weigh between 75 and 85 kg. The event is intended to be the first in a planned series of global CyberHero showcases that combine robotic competition with live entertainment.

In addition to the sporting event, Hero Esports is launching the CyberHero Saudi–China Scholar Program, which will support up to 30 students. The initiative was unveiled by Hero Esports Co-founder and CEO Danny Tang during the LEAP conference.
