Hero MotoCorp flex-fuel bikes reach 10,000 bookings

Hero MotoCorp has reported approximately 10,000 bookings and over 10,000 inquiries for its new E85-compatible flex-fuel motorcycles, the Splendor+ E85 and the HF Deluxe E85. Launched in June 2026, these models are designed to operate on ethanol-blended fuels ranging from E20 to E85.

To accommodate higher ethanol concentrations, the 97.2cc single-cylinder engines feature modified fuel systems, including a new fuel pump, a secondary fuel filter, and calibrated ECU mapping. The Splendor+ E85 is priced between ₹82,710 and ₹82,810, while the HF Deluxe E85 is priced at approximately ₹72,792.

Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer for Hero MotoCorp’s India Business Unit, stated that the initial response indicates significant mass-market potential. The company views these fuel-ready models as a way to provide future-proof options for consumers as the government supports increased ethanol blending in the fuel supply.
