Hero MotoCorp launches Vida EV scooter and bike in Nepal
Hero MotoCorp introduced its electric mobility brand Vida to Nepal, marking the company's first market outside India. The launch, held with CG Motors of the Chaudhary Group, featured the Vida VX2 electric scooter (available in Plus and Go variants) and the Dirt.E K3 electric off‑road bike aimed at young riders. The VX2 Plus offers a 4.4 kWh removable‑battery pack, up to 140 km range, 90 km/h top speed and fast‑charging to 80 % in 65 minutes, while the VX2 Go uses a single 2.2 kWh battery, 75 km range and 70 km/h top speed. Both models support home charging via a standard 5 A socket and include connected features such as navigation, geo‑fencing and OTA updates. Prices in Nepal are higher than in India due to taxes and duties.
Hero's decision follows strong domestic demand, with Vida selling 102,097 electric scooters in India between January and June 2026, crossing the 100,000‑unit mark in six months. The Nepal debut signals the brand’s intent to expand its EV portfolio internationally.
