HERO provides Haiti's largest emergency medevac and ambulance service

Stacy Librandi, who arrived in Haiti as a volunteer following the 2010 magnitude 7.0 earthquake, now operates HERO (Haitian Emergency Response Operations), the country's largest emergency medical ambulance and medevac service.

Based in Port-au-Prince, HERO provides 24/7 emergency response, including ambulance dispatch, helicopter evacuations, and medevac flights. The organization aims to bridge critical medical and emergency infrastructure gaps in Haiti, acting as a practical substitute for a reliable public safety emergency number. The network moves patients from roadsides and clinics to facilities where they can receive faster care.

Librandi's operation includes related logistical, medical, and secure transport services, which help fund the organization's charitable work in the country.
