Hershey Canada recalls Kisses chocolate in Canada over undeclared almonds

Hershey Canada has issued a nationwide recall of its Hershey’s Creamy Milk Chocolate Kisses after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) identified the possible presence of undeclared almond protein. The recall covers two package sizes – 104 g and 200 g – both with a best‑before date of June 1 2027, and specific lot codes listed by the company.

The recall was triggered by a single reported allergic reaction in a consumer with an almond sensitivity. The CFIA advises anyone who may have purchased the affected products to check the lot codes, avoid consumption, and either discard the items safely or return them to the retailer. The action aims to protect individuals with almond allergies from potentially severe reactions, including anaphylaxis.

Consumers without almond allergies are not considered at increased risk. The recall underscores Canada’s food‑safety system, which relies on rapid notification and removal of products that may pose health hazards.
