Herten Nord initiative donates funds for equine therapy horse

The Bürgerinitiative Herten Nord has donated 1,000 euros to support the transition of Ignatz von Herten, a twelve-year-old former racehorse, into a new career in equine therapy.

The funds will be utilized by the Integrative Reitverein to purchase necessary equipment, including a suitable saddle and bridle, for the horse. Ignatz is being prepared to work with children and adolescents, specifically those with disabilities, at the Reitzentrum in der Ried.

Wolfgang M. Kühn, head of the Bürgertraber, noted that the horse's journey has come full circle, as he previously participated in sports to raise funds for youth, and will now directly assist children through therapy.
