Hertha BSC fined by DFB after Dresden fan violence, player moves and staff changes

The German Football Association’s sports court imposed a €152,000 fine on Hertha BSC and a €91,200 fine on Dynamo Dresden following fan violence at their 2. Liga match in Dresden on 4 April. Each club may allocate part of the penalty to security and violence‑prevention measures, and for the next two meetings the guest ticket quota will be halved with all tickets required to be personalized.

Hertha also announced several squad and staff updates: goalkeeper Tim Göller extended his contract until 2028; youth forward Yunus Ünal left on a free transfer to Hannover 96 after contract talks stalled; the club will replace outgoing team doctor Hi‑Un Park with Dr. Fabian Plachel from July; and former midfielder Alfredo Morales announced his retirement from professional football.
