Feyenoord in talks to sign Hertha BSC goalkeeper Tjark Ernst

Hertha BSC’s 23‑year‑old goalkeeper Tjark Ernst, under contract until mid‑2027 with a €5 million release clause, is the focus of advanced transfer negotiations with Dutch club Feyenoord. German outlet Kicker reports that Feyenoord have made an offer below the clause, keeping talks ongoing. Hertha’s coach Stefan Leitl confirmed the interest and urged a swift decision.

Celtic have also been linked to Ernst but have not submitted any formal bid. VfL Wolfsburg previously showed interest in the keeper, though their attention has shifted after their recent relegation. Feyenoord have prepared an alternative option in Kayne van Oevelen, the 22‑year‑old goalkeeper of FC Volendam, following reports that he is also being pursued by clubs such as Valencia, Ipswich Town and Leeds United.

Feyenoord’s current goalkeeping roster includes Timon Wellenreuther, who is reported to be on Wolfsburg’s radar, adding further urgency to the club’s search for a new first‑choice keeper.
