Hertha BSC implements strict kit design manifesto

Hertha BSC has officially published a “Trikotmanifest” (Kit Manifesto) to establish binding design guidelines for all future home, away, and alternate kits. Developed in collaboration with club officials, member delegates, and fan representatives, the seven-page document aims to safeguard the club’s visual identity and prevent controversial color choices.

Under the new regulations, the home kit is permanently mandated to feature traditional vertical blue and white stripes, with a minimum of five stripes. The primary shade of blue is designated as “Blue Lolite,” while darker navy hues are permitted only once every three seasons.

To prevent non-traditional designs, away and third kits are strictly limited to five base colors: blue, white, red, black, and grey/silver. Additionally, the club’s crest must always appear in its original, full-color format on every official match kit, outlawing monochrome or recolored versions.
