Hertha BSC leads 2. Bundesliga with seven-point advantage

Hertha BSC has extended its lead at the top of the 2. Bundesliga to seven points following a 1-0 victory against Arminia Bielefeld. Josip Brekalo secured the win with a decisive goal in stoppage time, marking the team's eighth victory in nine matches.

The club currently holds 25 points, and fans have begun discussing the possibility of a perfect 100-point season if the team wins its remaining 25 matches. This momentum follows recent point losses by competitors 1. FC Nürnberg and VfL Bochum.

Coach Stefan Leitl has remained cautious regarding the promotion race, emphasizing team cohesion and the importance of focusing on controllable factors rather than early celebrations. Captain Josip Brekalo, currently the league's top scorer with five goals and five assists, has been praised by Leitl for his leadership and identification with the club.
