Hertha BSC reports first net profit since 2019

Hertha BSC has achieved a net profit of 1.2 million euros for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, marking the club's first positive annual result since 2019. This represents a significant improvement from the previous year, which saw a loss of approximately 16 million euros.

The club reported record revenue of 106.2 million euros and an EBITDA of 8.0 million euros. Managing Director Ralf Huschen described the result as a milestone that confirms the club is making economic progress. Co-Managing Director Peter Görlich noted that while these are necessary steps, the club's economic transformation is not yet complete.

To reduce interest burdens, the club repurchased 21.2 million euros of its Nordic Bond during the fiscal year, leaving 18.8 million euros in remaining bond liabilities. The deficit not covered by equity decreased slightly to 37.2 million euros.

On the pitch, the club currently leads the 2. Bundesliga and is preparing for a high-stakes match against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. While player Gustaf Nilsson is working toward a return from muscle problems, the team is utilizing various recovery rituals and scouting strategies to maintain their position at the top of the table.
