Hertha BSC signs striker Gustaf Nilsson from Club Brugge

Hertha BSC has completed the signing of Swedish international striker Gustaf Nilsson from Belgian club Club Brugge. The 29-year-old, who stands 1.97 meters tall, joins the Berlin-based club on a loan deal with an option to purchase.

Sport director Benjamin Weber stated that Nilsson fits the specific profile the club required for its attack, noting his height, aerial ability, and finishing skills. Nilsson, who has earned eleven caps for Sweden, had previously struggled to find consistent playing time at Club Brugge despite a high-profile transfer to the Belgian side in 2024.

Nilsson expressed enthusiasm for the move, stating that Hertha presented a “fantastic option” for his career. He is expected to provide a physical presence in the box and assist the team in their upcoming campaign.
