Herzeg‑Bosnia County Drives New Fast‑Road Link Between Bosnia and Croatia

Representatives of the Herzeg‑Bosnia and Una‑Sana county governments met to strengthen cooperation on infrastructure projects, focusing on the construction of the Lašva‑Nević Polje fast road. The road is part of a broader plan to connect the far‑west of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with its central regions, linking towns such as Drvar, Bosanski Grahovo, Glamoč, Kupres and Livno, and indirectly connecting Tomislavgrad.

The project also includes connections to Travnik and Jajce on the western side, integrating with the SEETO route 2a corridor (Gradiška – Banja Luka – Jajce – Travnik – Vitez – Lašva) and linking to the Vc corridor. By routing the entire corridor within the Federation, financing and implementation are expected to be simpler. The initiative aims to boost economic development, tourism and export‑oriented trade for the region.
