Herzele updates cadastral income for specific properties
The local government of Herzele is conducting a targeted update of the cadastral income (KI) for specific properties. This process aims to ensure that the estimated net rental income used to calculate property taxes accurately reflects the actual state of the homes.
In collaboration with the Cadastre (Administration of Surveys and Valuations of the Federal Public Service Finance), the update focuses on properties where information regarding two specific comfort elements is uncertain: the presence of a heating system and the presence of a bathtub and/or shower. This is not a general review of all properties in the municipality, but a focused check to ensure fiscal fairness and equal treatment for all homeowners.
Starting October 15, 2026, owners of the affected properties will receive a letter containing a form to be completed and returned to the local government. If no response is received, or if further verification is required, the administration may conduct a site visit to determine the actual condition of the property.
