The Hessian Monument Protection Prize was awarded for its 40th anniversary on September 10 in Marburg. The ceremony, held at the renovated Lokschuppen, honored individuals and projects dedicated to preserving cultural heritage through passion and perseverance.

He also noted that a new Hessian Monument Protection Act is set to take effect on January 1, 2027, aiming to provide a modern, digital, and citizen-friendly legal framework for cultural heritage management.
The 2026 award recipients represent various locations, including Künzell, Eltville, Limburg, Fulda, Schlitz, Spangenberg, Kronberg, Nidda, Darmstadt, and Wiesbaden.
