Hetauda river accident leaves one student dead and two missing
Four female students from Nirmal Secondary School were swept away by the Basudev River in Hetauda, Makawanpur, while returning home from school on Tuesday.
Authorities have confirmed that one 8-year-old student, Roshni, was found dead downstream. A 13-year-old student, Seema Bholan, was rescued safely. Two other students, aged 11 and 12, remain missing.
Search and rescue operations are currently underway, involving teams from the Area Police Office, the Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Army’s Bagmati Province Disaster Management Group.
