Heung-min Son expresses lasting bond with Tottenham Hotspur
Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-min Son has expressed his continued emotional connection to the North London club and its supporters. Now playing for Los Angeles FC in the MLS, the 34-year-old South Korean forward noted that he frequently encounters fans wearing Tottenham shirts with his name on them, regardless of where he travels.
Son described himself as “the biggest Spurs supporter,” stating that seeing the club's colors makes him “so so proud.” He reflected on his departure from the club eighteen months ago, admitting that he felt significant heartbreak during his exit and continues to miss the team and its fanbase.
During his tenure at Tottenham, Son recorded 173 goals and 101 assists in 454 appearances, eventually captaining the side to a Europa League trophy in Bilbao before moving to the United States.
