Heusden to host Folk and Shanty Festival

The historic fortress city of Heusden will host a Folk and Shanty Festival on Sunday, September 13. The event features a variety of musical performances, including traditional folk songs, Irish ballads, and sea shanties, performed by groups such as Seyl and Treyl, Sheperds Pie, and the sailors' choir Deining.

Set against the backdrop of the city's historic center and fortifications, the festival coincides with open monument days and an art route. The program is designed to appeal to all ages, offering a mix of traditional and modern musical interpretations within the city's scenic streets.
