Hexa-Cover receives DLG certification for emission reduction
The Hexa-Cover R114 floating system has received the ‘DLG APPROVED’ certification from the Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG). The certification recognizes the system's effectiveness in reducing ammonia emissions and odors during the storage of slurry and digestate.
Testing conducted by DLG showed an average odor reduction of 88.6%, with specific values ranging between 81% and 96%. Ammonia emissions were reduced by up to 98%, depending on the level of surface coverage. The system is composed of floating elements made from recycled polypropylene that create a cover over the liquid surface.
The technology meets and exceeds the requirements of the German TA Luft regulation for atmospheric emission control. It is designed for use in livestock farms and biogas plants to help operators comply with environmental standards and reduce their ecological footprint. In Spain, the system is distributed by DEPLAN.
