Hexnode expands XDR with macOS support and automated remediation

Hexnode, the enterprise software division of Mitsogo, has announced an expansion of its Hexnode XDR product. The update introduces new support for macOS and adds features for threat detection, alert prioritization, and automated remediation.

The enhancements aim to bridge the gap between identifying security threats and taking corrective action. By integrating natively with Hexnode UEM, the platform combines threat detection and device intelligence with endpoint management to reduce manual steps in the investigation and containment process.

Key technical updates include integrations with Mandiant (Google Threat Intelligence) and Recorded Future for external threat intelligence, sandbox analysis for examining suspicious files, anomaly detection, and AI-assisted investigation via Hexnode Genie. Hexnode CEO Apu Pavithran noted that the update addresses the need for fewer steps between receiving an alert and implementing a fix.
