Heythuysen begins construction of new sustainable fire station
Construction has officially commenced on a new, sustainable fire station in Heythuysen, Netherlands. The facility, located on the Noorderbaan, will serve as a joint headquarters for the Roggel and Heythuysen fire departments.
To ensure future service reliability, the two stations are merging into a single entity named Brandweer Heythuysen. The new building is designed with sustainability in mind, utilizing timber construction to achieve a climate-neutral profile and minimize environmental impact. The project marks the culmination of several years of collaborative planning by local volunteers and officials.
