Hezbollah accused of operating in Triple Frontier region

Brazilian political scientist André Lajst, director of StandWithUs Brasil, has alleged that Hezbollah operates cells within the Triple Frontier region shared by Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.

Lajst claims that following military setbacks in Lebanon, the organization has shifted its focus toward strengthening criminal structures in Latin America. According to the report, Hezbollah is attempting to "oxygenate" its finances by engaging in money laundering, arms trafficking, and narcotics-related activities.

Lajst noted that the group has established links with powerful local criminal organizations, specifically the Brazilian group Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), to facilitate these financial operations.
