Hezbollah and Amal Movement leaders call for state reconstruction efforts
The leaderships of Hezbollah and the Amal Movement held a meeting to discuss Lebanon’s political, economic, and social challenges. During the meeting, representatives emphasized the importance of national partnership and civil peace, calling for the state to fulfill its responsibilities in addressing economic crises and accelerating reconstruction efforts to facilitate the return of displaced residents to their villages.
In a related development, political sources report that a directive has been issued to officials and media members affiliated with Hezbollah and Amal to avoid highlighting state-provided aid in Southern Lebanon. Instead, media discourse is to remain focused on the parties' own political projects. This follows the delivery of the first batch of prefabricated homes to the town of Zoutar al-Gharbiya, an area where the Lebanese Army is present.
Sources indicate that additional prefabricated homes, originally intended for Gaza but diverted by Turkey after Israel prevented their arrival, will be sent to Lebanon. Mechanisms are being developed to distribute these homes through committees coordinated with local municipalities.
