Hezbollah bloc urges Lebanon to abandon Framework Agreement and direct talks

Hezbollah’s Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc has called on Lebanese authorities to declare the ‘Framework Agreement’ dead and abandon direct negotiations with Israel. The bloc accused the Lebanese government of using a ‘compromising negotiating approach’ that has failed to secure a cessation of Israeli attacks or the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon.

The group claimed that Israel is using the agreement as a shield to continue operations in the south, including the destruction of homes, roads, and villages, as well as the killing of civilians. The bloc specifically cited the deaths of 11 people in Ansar and Deir Al-Zahrani, noting that six were members of the same family.

In addition to regional conflicts, the bloc condemned Israeli actions in Gaza and the West Bank, and denounced an Israeli strike on Abu Al-Duhur Airport in Syria as a violation of Syrian sovereignty. Domestically, the group warned of systemic corruption and criticized the government and judiciary for failing to fulfill their responsibilities.
