Hezbollah leader Ali Daamoush rejects dialogue with authorities
Sheikh Ali Daamoush, head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, stated that dialogue with authorities is futile unless decisions that criminalize the resistance are reversed. Speaking at a scouting gathering in Beirut, Daamoush emphasized that the Lebanese people have been forced to maintain their “heroic resistance” due to ongoing occupation, attacks, and the destruction of civilian life in border villages.
Daamoush identified the situation in southern Lebanon as a fundamental national issue. He asserted that liberating the south, facilitating the return of residents, and rebuilding the region is a collective responsibility shared by the state, the resistance, and all loyal citizens. He pledged that the organization would prioritize easing the suffering of the population and maintaining their dignity despite the current crisis.
