Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem affirms resistance as sole path to liberation

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem stated that armed resistance is the only viable path to liberating Lebanese land, asserting that there is no military parity between Lebanon and Israel. Qassem emphasized that the group remains committed to its struggle ‘regardless of the cost’ and argued that steadfastness prevents Israel from achieving its objectives.

Addressing regional tensions, Qassem claimed that Iran successfully resisted attacks intended to topple its regime. He also reaffirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause to Hezbollah’s mission. The statements come amid ongoing conflict, following a framework agreement in Washington that discussed Lebanese military authority in the south and the disarmament of Hezbollah in specific zones.
