Hezbollah MP visits Tehran amid reports of potential Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon

Lebanese MP Hassan Fadlallah, a member of Hezbollah, recently visited Tehran for meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Hezbollah representative Abdullah Safieddine. The Iranian Foreign Ministry officially announced the meeting, which focused on recent developments in Lebanon and Israeli military actions. Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The official nature of the announcement has drawn attention from Lebanese ministerial sources, as it occurs while the Lebanese state attempts to establish a political path independent of regional tensions. Observers are questioning whether the visit will facilitate cooperation between Hezbollah and the Lebanese state regarding negotiations with Israel.

Separately, political researcher Akram Bazzi reported that, according to Iranian diplomats, an Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon could occur within three to four months. This potential withdrawal is expected to be governed by a new framework document specifically drafted for Lebanon and signed by the United States.
