Hezbollah prepares for potential conflict amid Israeli strikes in Lebanon

Israeli military and security sources report that Hezbollah is actively gathering intelligence on Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) movement patterns, deployment locations, and operational methods. This intelligence gathering is viewed as preparation for potential large-scale hostilities in southern Lebanon, potentially involving ambushes, drones, and roadside bombs.

Simultaneously, Israeli artillery and aerial operations continue in southern Lebanon, specifically targeting areas such as Al-Mansoori and the heights of Ali al-Taher. Reports indicate the use of tanks, armored bulldozers, and drones dropping sonic and smoke bombs in the Tyre region. Hezbollah has criticized the Lebanese government's perceived inaction, claiming that diplomatic concessions have failed to stop Israeli incursions.

In response to the escalating instability, the European Union is planning a new mission to strengthen the Lebanese Armed Forces. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stated that over ten member states are prepared to provide personnel and resources for this mission, which aims to enhance the Lebanese government's ability to secure its territory. The mission, intended to launch around mid-October, is not a replacement for UNIFIL but focuses on training and advisory roles to bolster national security capabilities.
