Hezbollah rejects US claims of Quds Force control
Hezbollah has rejected claims made by the United States Treasury and State Departments asserting that the group is under the control of the Iranian Quds Force. The group stated that these allegations are being used to justify its re-listing on US sanctions lists.
In a statement, Hezbollah characterized the US administration's actions as an attempt to exert dominance over Lebanon and protect Israeli security interests. The group described the sanctions as a policy of siege intended to pressure the Lebanese people and its supporters politically, financially, and security-wise.
Hezbollah defended its close relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing it as a proud and fraternal bond based on Iran's historical support for Lebanon's sovereignty and reconstruction efforts. The group further criticized the United States' moral and legal standing, citing its historical military interventions and its support for actions in Gaza and elsewhere.
