Häfele and Sequoia advance logistics automation through new investments

Häfele is entering the final phase of launching a new automated logistics plant in Wolfsberg, Nagold, Germany. This project represents the company’s largest investment in its 100-year history. The facility is designed to increase shipping capacity, reduce emissions, and improve operational efficiency through advanced infrastructure, including loading ramps, transport systems, and automated packaging machines. The plant is currently undergoing virtual functional testing, with real-world cargo testing scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.

In Brazil, logistics company Sequoia has acquired two automated sorting systems from Flash Courier. The new equipment will provide 224 exit destinations with an aggregate capacity of 4,000 volumes per hour. Each unit is expected to maintain a sorting accuracy rate of at least 99.99% and an operational availability of at least 99.9%. This acquisition is part of Sequoia’s expansion and modernization plan to increase productivity, improve accuracy, and reduce unit sorting costs within the Brazilian market.
