Höganäs municipality's elderly care resource allocation criticized

Anna Robarth (Social Democrats) wrote to highlight concerns over the use of the resource‑distribution tool Kuben in Höganäselderly care. She argues that care should prioritize dignity, safety and personal interaction rather than being reduced to spreadsheet calculations. The letter calls for increased staffing levels, easier access to assistive devices, and better nutrition for residents, warning that current pressures risk staff burnout and reduced quality of life for seniors.

Robarth stresses that economic considerations must support, not replace, humane care, urging the municipality to focus on human needs over purely efficiency‑driven metrics.
