HGG hospital broadcasts 20 endoscopic procedures during medical congress

The Hospital Estadual Dr. Alberto Rassi (HGG) performed 20 medium and high-complexity endoscopic procedures during the VIII Brasil Central Congress of Gastroenterology in Goiânia. Held between September 10 and 12, the interventions were broadcast in real time to the auditorium of the Centro Cultural Oscar Niemeyer, allowing medical professionals and students to observe the procedures live.

Specialists from various regions of Brazil conducted the procedures in partnership with the HGG Digestive Endoscopy team. The operations took place simultaneously across three surgical centers within the hospital, involving medical, multiprofessional, and support teams. The live transmission enabled participants to monitor different stages of treatment and discuss clinical approaches applied to patients from the Unified Health System (SUS).

The congress was organized by the Sociedade Brasileira de Endoscopia Digestiva – regional Goiás (SOBED-GO) and the Sociedade Goiana de Gastroenterologia. The event brought together gastroenterologists, endoscopists, hepatologists, residents, and academics to discuss new techniques, technologies, and advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive system diseases.
