Høgre leader invites Center Party to discuss tax cuts

Ine Eriksen Søreide, leader of the Conservative Party (Høgre), has called on Center Party (Senterpartiet) leader Trygve Slagsvold Vedum to engage in discussions regarding tax policy. Søreide is proposing a shift away from temporary "crisis packages," such as fuel tax cuts, toward permanent tax relief.

Her specific proposal includes a monthly tax reduction of 1,000 NOK for all citizens, the abolition of the wealth tax, and the elimination of income tax for those earning under 150,000 NOK per year. Søreide argued that such measures would be a more effective way to manage the economy for individuals and businesses than the current approach of reactive emergency measures.
