Hibbett and Nike have awarded $50,000 to the boys and girls basketball programs at Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama. The funding was provided through First String, a philanthropic program designed to support high school student-athletes.

The investment was announced at the historic Boutwell Auditorium during the third annual ‘Ballin’ in Boutwell’ event. Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin participated in the presentation alongside Hibbett leadership, school administrators, and student-athletes.

The funds are designated to cover various program requirements, including equipment, uniforms, team travel, and court improvements.
