Hicham Boudaoui linked to Al-Ittihad and AS Monaco transfers
Algerian midfielder Hicham Boudaoui is the subject of competing transfer interests as he nears the end of his contract with OGC Nice.
Al-Ittihad has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement with Nice for a transfer worth approximately 8 million euros (£7 million). The move to the Saudi Pro League is currently awaiting final authorization from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). Once approved, the 26-year-old is expected to undergo a medical examination.
However, AS Monaco has entered concrete negotiations to secure the player. Monaco is reportedly pursuing a one-year loan deal with an option to buy. To facilitate this, Nice may first renew Boudaoui’s contract. Under LFP regulations, Monaco could potentially finalize the deal using a ‘joker’ status, allowing for recruitment after the official summer transfer window has closed.
