Hicham El Jebbari to film new drama ‘Al Badila’ in Ouazzane

Moroccan director Hicham El Jebbari is preparing to film his new television series, ‘Al Badila’, which is slated for the Ramadan 2027 season. Filming is expected to begin in late October in the city of Ouazzane, the director's birthplace.

Produced by Oulian Production for the channel 2M, the series will consist of 30 episodes, each lasting 52 minutes. The cast features prominent Moroccan actors including Mona Fatou, Samia Akriou, Aziz Hattab, and Amine Ennaji. While specific plot details remain confidential, the production aims to showcase the natural and cultural landscape of Ouazzane, moving away from traditional filming hubs like Casablanca and Rabat.

This project follows El Jebbari’s recent work, including the series ‘Habibi Hatta Al Mawt’ and the theatrical production ‘Tarboosh wa Sabniya’. ‘Al Badila’ represents a significant upcoming entry in the Moroccan dramatic landscape for the 2027 Ramadan programming.
