Hickory’s Smokehouse to open new Cambridge restaurant

Hickory’s Smokehouse is scheduled to open a new Southern barbecue restaurant on Milton Road in Cambridge on October 16. Located in the former Milton Arms pub, the establishment will serve as the company’s second location in Cambridgeshire, following the opening of its Hampton, Peterborough site in June.

The restaurant will feature American-style smoked meats, including Memphis ribs and 16-hour smoked Texas-style brisket, prepared by pitmasters using smokers imported from Tennessee and Missouri. Facilities include a chef’s bar, a secluded garden, two covered terraces, and a movie room designed for families.

In addition to food, the venue will offer a selection of cocktails, craft beers, and over 25 types of bourbon. The establishment is designed to be family-friendly, providing a dedicated kids’ menu and a dessert station featuring signature frozen custard.
